Read Indeed Event at the MOA- May 15th 2010 May 10, 2010

As you may remember, I do volunteer work with an organization called Read Indeed. Maria, our 9 year old founder, turned 10 this weekend. We are celebrating with a big event out at the Mall of America.

Nine-year-old Maria Keller started a nonprofit called Read Indeed in the hopes of collecting and distributing 1,000,000 books to needy kids by the time she’s 18. She’s approaching 300,000 books.

Here is what Read Indeed has to say… REMEMBER this is a great cause that recycle many books and reduce landfills by finding homes for books that individuals, old libraries and publishers no longer want.
To help raise money for Read Indeed, Barnes & Noble will also be hosting a book fair this Saturday, May 15 with the portion of the proceeds going to Read Indeed. You can use the code 10175664 when purchasing books, DVDs, CD, etc at any Barnes and Noble store or online on Saturday! Please pass the word. The money raised for Read Indeed helps pay for shipping of books to children throughout the world.
