I spend a day a week at my kids’ school working in the cafeteria. Their school lunch program is considered an upgrade to other programs but I tend to question the portion sizes (or waste) for the younger grades and the amount of carbs that are allocated to each lunch (do you really need to serve garlic toast or breadstick with pizza????). Plus my 5th graders brings 2 snacks a day. Seriously, do they need to eat every 2.5 hours from the last time they started eating?
